Hello, and welcome to my sports archive. I have been active in the hobby since the mid '90s and currently am in the process of going through my VHS tapes and converting the games to DVDs. This will take me a long time as I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel yet, but I'm willing to trade any of my games on VHS or DVD. I will be gradually entering my inventory of games within the coming weeks and months, so check back often.

If you wish to trade for a game that I already have on DVD I should be able to complete the deal within reasonable amount of time as I will only need to burn a copy of it for you. However, if you want something that I still have on VHS you'll need to use a little patience with me as I will have to first record it to my hard drive and then set up chapters and menu in edit mode. With trying to keep up on recording current games as well as converting old VHS tapes, it seems as if I'm constantly trying to free up available space on my hard drive.

I use SP speed exclusively on my Toshiba RD-XS32 standalone DVD recorder. There have been many debates among collectors regarding the various recording methods available. Some traders insist that SP recordings can cause pixelization, but I will counter that those traders have not used a Toshiba standalone unit. All of the DVDs I have created on my Toshiba look just as good as the original broadcast or VHS tape they were recorded from.

I like to keep my games on no more than 2 DVDs. 3 DVDs for one game is too many. In rare cases where I have an extremely long game, I will edit out just enough commercials to get it down to 4 hours so it'll fit on 2 discs at SP speed. In all other cases I like to keep everything intact. This includes commercials, halftime/intermission reports, and any pregame or postgame footage that is available. I will not trade for any game in widescreen format.

My collection is made up of mostly hockey, football, and baseball games with a very small handful of basketball. I do not collect hockey fight compilations, as I consider fighting to be poor sportsmanship. Hockey is my favorite sport, but I don't like fighting in hockey. In my opinion, hockey players who want to fight should trade in their hockey gloves for boxing gloves.

The teams I'm most passionate about are the North Dakota Fighting Sioux (hockey & football), the Minnesota Twins, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. I also like the Winnipeg Jets, Minnesota North Stars, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Gophers (hockey & football), Notre Dame Fighting Irish (football), and USC Trojans (football).

I loved the old Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders from the days when they were coached by John Madden through the end of the Tim Brown era, but I lost all respect for the organization when they traded for Randy Moss prior to the 2005 season. I don't care much for basketball anymore, but I did enjoy watching the Magic Johnson/Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Laker teams of the '80s and the Patrick Ewing/John Starks Knicks teams of the '90s.

I'm most interested in trading for college hockey games, NHL games starring former North Dakota Fighting Sioux players, NCAA Division II and Division I-AA football games, any regular season Minnesota Twins games from 1995 and earlier, and classic Monday Night Football games from the Howard Cosell era that include his legendary halftime highlights.
